Starting to use a brush
« on: September 25, 2013, 11:43:55 PM »
Ok, just ordered a Semogue boar brush, some Mama Bear shaving soap.... What else do I need? Best place to get (or make?) a stand? Bowls?

You don't need a bowl, a spare coffee cup will do if you have one. Just drop in your soap soak your brush (or wet it buy running it under the water as you're filling up the sink) and you're ready to rock.

Remember to dry your brush with the bristles facing down.

What Mike said. (quote function is not working right now)

Nothing will destroy your brush faster than water running into the handle while it dries.  The cost of the brush and its bristle quality are irrelevant to that fact.

A shaving brush needs its stand.
