Receding 20 year old bloody well goes for it (ish)
« on: September 12, 2013, 04:04:36 AM »
Hello Gents,

Quick heads up, 20 years old, at an absolute top university, heavily involved in the Field Hockey club studying Archaeology and looking to join HM Armed Forces. That's me essentially.

Anyway, Dad's bald, Uncle's Bald, Grandad was bald ("enjoy it while it lasts, I lost all of mine when I was 30!"). Thought I'd beat mother nature at her own game and join the motley crew. I could still easily pull off a "hairstyle" of some sort but I'm getting more annoyed with it (this strand here, that strand there, make it look like I have a fringe, try a faux hawk at the same time ohnotitsrainingandimplayinghockeyandnowIlooklikecrap. Basically. Norwood 2 1/2 is such a tease.

Last night, I was going to ask a girl how she felt about shaving my head ("is this a good idea?") but skipped that stage entirely and went full Leroy Jenkins on my hair. I used zero guard and am putting some natural glow stuff to try and make it look less pale!

Lads, once more onto the breach, only takes one woman to love you in the end! (still working on that)

Note: added 2 pictures, one post shave (by 8 hours) and one of me on Hockey Tour doing "Fresher fitness" (Involved swimming, running etc. my first tour even though I was a second year!)

Welcome aboard!

To be honest the look suits you - and it sounds like you've got the right attitude to go along with it, so enjoy!

Welcome Vidders - great story!

I can remember the joy of buzzing my hair so, so short in the days when it was still thick enough. Now the joy of smooth has replaced it, and the best part is that joy won't thin out and disappear! :)

Hope to see you around and share your thoughts with the board. I hope this inspires and uplifts you! :)

In comparison of the pics,  you with no hair looks better than the fringe and your receeding hair.

You obviously have a lot going for you given your opening statement, I'd say a bald head ain't gonna hold ya back!

Welcome

Welcome Vidders, way to go with shaving your head. You seem like a pretty confident guy, so stick with it. Things will fall into place.  O0

Welcome.  Great attitude
