L.A., you will blend right in.  You have a great beard, which adds to the look.  When you finally decide to shave it off, you will get more of an intentional look and the contrast with the beard will be even better.

I think if I went to a meeting and saw someone wearing a hat I'd think that was more weird than bald!

I don;t think you hair looks bad at the mo and no reason to wear a hat, yes you're sufferign from MPB and it doesn't look bad. I do think given that you have a good shaped head it would look good.

Shave your head down to a 0, get used to it and then one friday night when you have the weekend, or when you have the chance of a long weekend and you can shut yourself away, shave it and see what you think. By the time you need to see others it will be back to a 0

Dude....lose the cap and enjoy the instant feeling of relief....and the nagging feeling of "why did I wait so long" I absolutely guarantee it....stop wasting your life, you may as well be wearing an awful wig.,... What it the wind blows? What if an absolute honey wants to go swimming? Or anywhere and you keep turning up wearing a freakin hat?! Time to man up my friend, take the damn hat off, women won't scream, children won't cry, no one gives a cr@p but you.....
