Starting the 30 day
« on: August 14, 2013, 05:33:39 PM »
So I'm 3 days into the 30 day trial. I'm surprised how much I like the shaved head look. I'm shocked at how much my friends and co workers like it. This might be the best style choice I've ever made!

Hi U8myburger:  1st of all welcome to the sly fraternity.  2nd of all... I love your avatar name.  Three days huh... I have a good feeling that you will make it to the 30 day rule with no problems.  You look like a natural.  We hope that you become an active member of this great forum.

Well done mate on joining a great group of guys / gals who are really friendly and supportive & tell you some good-old home truths when you need them.

You look great, by the way. What "pushed" you to want to be a bald guy?
Also, congratulations on starting on the 30-day rule. I reckon that every guy who is serious about staying a baldy by choice has to take the 30-day-rule route first.

All the best,

Bilko

Definitely don't forget the sunscreen.  Glad you're liking it, you won't need the 30 days to find out you love it.

Love your username U8myburger... LOL  ;D

You look natural in the sly look, it's a great look for you. I just crossed the 30-day mark myself and the only thing I can say is (like many others here) "what took you so long??!?!"

Plus I have become decidely fond of my shaving brush...there's nothing like running it all over the scalp, lathering it up and shaving it smoooooooth! :)

All right 30 days are up. No plans on growing my hair out again. Love it.
Ok to answer a couple of the previous posters questions.

My hair had developed to a point where it was actually a finer hair on top of my head and my old thick curly hair on the sides. I could never get a style to work. So I had pretty much kept it at a 4 buzz or a high n tight for the last decade or so. The sides had also started graying rapidly and the back was starting to thin. After lurking here for about a month and botching a buzz cut, a sly buddy of mine suggested I just shave it off.

And here I am one month later knowing its the best thing I've ever done with my hair.

Paul, good choice.  Looks good on you.  I hope you will stick around and continue to share your story to encourage others as they decide about whether to advance to the bald style.

Your report is encouraging.
