Walking Sticks...ya know the funky looking ones. I also like to collect odd shaped or twisted tree limbs and I turn them into walking sticks. you will often find me walking around the yard or just somewhere out in teh woods wiht my stick. Daughter thinks Im nuts...but when you are out on a stroll...you gotta have a walking stick...dotn ya? well at least I do. And while we are on the subject of collecting things....my wife she has started a new collection. She does alot of quilting and sewing...so she is into collecting Thimbles. the old metal ones...so ifyou all have any laying around or you see one...pick it up for me. I will pay for em, just keep em under 5 bucks or so...it would tickle her pink if she knew there was a bunch of bald guys out looking for thimbles. LOL

I used to collect Levis 501's back in my twenties (no use now as I can't fit into them) Back at school I went on a 2 month trip to Pakistan. While I was there I used to collect car cards that came out of them. They used to have info details about the various models. That was back in circa 1987. When I came back I asked my future wife to be to post them to me.

A few years back, I got involved with a group of "Produce Seal" collectors... ...you know, banana labels and such...
My brother in law was a stamp collector who introduced me to a lunatic fringe group of stamp collectors. Their hobby was being overwhelmed by people who professed that in order to be a "legitimate" collection, you had to do it a certain way. In protest, at a national convention, several members included banana labels in their stamp collection displays, and the Produce Seal Society was born.
The PSS2 agreed that they would collect no dues, elect no officers, write no bylaws and that produce seals have no monitary value. In connection with the Precancel Stamp Society national convention, they held an annual disorganizational meeting at a breakfast (cereal and bananas were served). It was just to make sure nobody had any ideas about organizing anything.
It was all in fun, and a stamp album of produce seals does make an interesting collection. I have over 130 different Chiquita Banana labels alone.
