If you ask your daughters chances are pretty high they might say no. I tend to think not asking anyone with things like that is best, if you want one, get one. If someone doesn't like it, oh well.

One daughter said YES. Did not ask the others, but they will be OK with it. They all have piercing.

Mr Jules - Dont worry about work if you are good at your job and smartly dressed, I think you will find they could not care less.

Guess if one is bold enough to shave his head when he does not have to, he can be bold enough to sport a pierced ear stud when he does not have to.
Don't think I've heard a negative comment from the whole lot of you plus some other's I've asked who know me pretty well.
Thumbs up all around.

I think you should do what feels good. I actually think earrings on men is quite dated. I had it in the 80's but took it out years ago and actually can't really think of anyone that I know that now have an earring (apart from ear tunnels which I have to say I as a look I hate) it just doesn't seem to be something a lot of people rock.
I also say (and this is my personal opinion please don't shoot me) I think earrings on older gentlemen can look a little bit desperate. Like trying to cling onto a part look (Like I say I equate the look to be dated).
Oh god, I feel awful now!! Sorry but you did ask, ha ha!

Yep. It's like shaving your head. It's a choice.
I did it. I like it. Photo shortly to prove it happened. I know. If there's no photo it did not happen, lol.

Excellent! You went for it
I'm looking forward to seeing the pic.
You do realise that just like with shaving related stuff the sky is the limit! You will now find yourself looking at all the choices you have for ear rings and studs etc
Then of course you will need a nice storage case for them, so that when you open it there they all are, all neatly set out and sparkling away

Been thinking about it for a while myself. Comes down to mall or tat shop.
Nix on the mall idea. Tat shops or places that specialize in piercing are a better idea for a lot of reasons not the least of which is....do you really want some 18 year old chick who still says, oh, wow, or awesome, or "cute" as an integral part of their conversation to stick a needle through you whilst chewing gum and simultaneously not thinking? If you have tats, patronize a place with which you have a connexion. If not, consult someone who has more than one piercing for their idea; I'll bet you a closed ring that they do not suggest the mall.

Mall experience was fine. Piercer was a mid-30's something lady.
Said, I bet you don't pierce 60 year old men very often. She broke out in laughter and said, NO. I was satisfied with services. She offered to let me hold the teddy bear while ... Didn't need it.
Picture is ready, just need to shrink it for posting.
