HB3 blade alternative
« on: July 29, 2013, 08:10:46 AM »
I just started using the HB sport 2 months ago. It came with a HB3 blade and that worked very well, smooth shave no issues. I then bought a pack of 2 blade sensor (or sensor excel can't remember). First shave was bad. a few nicks and razor burn. The more I used them the better it was but have still get nicks from time to time, and still some burn. I want to go back to the HB3 blades. I saw some posts on the CVS m3 blades being the same, but I think they may have stopped making these. Is there anything else that is the same as the HB3 (but cheaper) or should I just go buy the actual HB3 blades? Thanks

Yeah... I'm the one that posted about the CVS M3 blades long ago. They are indeed gone.

I am currently looking for a three blade alternative to the HB3 blades because they have become impossible to get locally. Let me know oif you find anything. I too had a TERRIBLE time with the double blades.... damn near bled to death.

I bought a pack of Atra plus blades to try but I have a feeling I will be ordering hb3 blades online. I will try the new blades tonight.

I use the sensor 3 blades exclusively, they are great value for money (better if you buy a pack if sensor 3 disposables for some bizarre reason) and give a great shave. The one downside is they seem to have one below par blade in each pack, that's a little blunter, but still a good value.

That's what I am current using on the ATX and love the results as well. Glad you found a good alternative.
