Family and Work
« on: July 03, 2007, 10:32:28 PM »
So i warmed my mother up to the fact that I was completley sly one night. i chose to call her the night she and my brother saw Die Hard. (wonder why I chose that night? :p) Anyways, she didnt say much. When I went to her house on sunday, she was very impressed. My mother liked the look a lot, and my brother thought it was pretty bad ass.

So needless to say I was pleased on that, but the best part comes at work on monday.

So I go in...Most people dont say anything at first, everyone was busy. But slowly the comments started pouring in. The hottest chick in the building came up to me and said she liked my hair (or lack of), and that it looked really good. She added that "Not all guys can pull that look, but you do it very well." Oh she's so good looking =D  Maybe I can get her to give a hub rub sometime soon =]

I had a balding coworker come up to me the other day, asking my routine of shaving my head. We ended up giving a good little discussion on it, and I pointed him this way. I have also pointed another balding coworker this way, who was interested in the look, but reluctant to get rid of what hair he had left. So maybe the posts on this forum can convince them to go sly.

I've recieved a few comments, 2, 1 from a friend, 1 from a guy at work, "Picked up any extra curricular activities", I guess it was a neo nazi joke, but whatever. All and all very positive results, and I feel like people give me more time and respect at work, maybe they dont picture me as so "boyish" or something. Who knows!

Anyways, I have become addicted to shaving the dome, and do it every day.

Just wanted to throw out my experiences, feel free to share your own!

Good to hear that your family digs the look and that you've had positive comments!  Though, I can't say that I'm surprised!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

It always helps when the people that you have around you "get" having a bald head...

It really is addictive, ain't it? O0
