A small price to pay for wearing an awesome haircut! There are so many advantages that outweigh the negatives.

For sure! I have enjoyed this look for almost 15 months and I like how easy it is to upkeep and not having to spend money on trips to the barber every month and pay tips on top of that.

I really wish I had done it before. If I start balding for real, I will just laser the rest off and not "fight" it.
Bald by Choice since July 2023!  Having hair is overrated.

It's easier for guys with rippling muscles and bags of confidence! I am a quiet, studious and spiritual sort of bald guy -and that's OK.

I'm definitely more like you, though I wish I was more muscular.

Pro: I shaved my head this morning and driving to work,  I had the window rolled down about half way and the cool air hitting my bald head was the most amazing feeling.
Con: The smooth feeling does not last long enough!
I'm just an ordinary man living in a crazy, unordinary world!

A shaved head has so many benefits, perfect haircut if you own a convertible, too!

One pro that we don't always call out is that I think we just look better with a shaved head. When a memory slide show popped up on my phone, it included a before and after of when I went to the barber to get my basic buzzcut shaved off for spring.  My initial reaction was 'I look better bald.' I then went back and looked at other older pictures of when I had hair and when I was shaved. I was like 'yes, I really do look better bald headed'.

I think it came down to the idea that my hair or choice of haircuts really did not give me any extra value in appearance. It's not my best feature. My bald head is. For me, simpler looks better.

Has anyone else seen old photos of themselves with hair and had similar thoughts?

I definitely think I look better sans hair.  My hair had several stubborn cowlicks and never looked good, IMO.

@Razorhead , I agree with your thinking that we look better bald. That's one of the reasons I kept my head shaved after my first time bald. I thought it looked cool, and my honey and a few other friends liked it.

Another sign is if you see other guys with shaved heads and think THEY look good, you will probably like wearing a bald head.

As most members here know, I periodically grow my hair back, but always return to shaving. I thoroughly enjoy the process of clippering my hair off and then shaving my head completely smooth. It always feels amazing!
