Hi, new member from Ireland
« on: July 20, 2013, 05:19:04 PM »
Hi chaps and chapettes, I just joined and think this is the coolest site on the web. I don´t need any confidence-boost, I´m just embarrassed that I´m not totally bald yet. A number one electric-shave is the best I can do, I find a razor-shave really uncomfortable and leaves little cuts all over my scalp. I just found the site when I googled "ridge on top of my skull", which doesn´t bother me either, but I posted about that elsewhere. In any case, hair is an unnecessary accessory, so keep up the good work, and I look forward to reading more here!
Best wishes to all!

Glad you are here, Sancho.

I like your statement of "hair is an unnecessary accessory".  Too true. Were that more men understood that.

Welcome, Sancho! Not all of our members razor-shave their heads; in fact we have members that prefer to keep close-buzzed horseshoes. That said, the idea of this site is to help everyone live life to the fullest without hair loss stopping them. Glad you joined us!

welcome...a lot of us had issues when wet shaving our heads ...I only had to walk past a razor and I broke out in razor burn! but now its fine, there are some great products to lesson any cuts and rashes...a good shaving cream and a brush is a must...not crap in a can, I always shave after a shower to soften the bristles, shaving oil used before applying the cream works well to stop a rash...I use an alum block which takes care of nicks, then witch hazel applied like aftershave. .followed by aloe vera....takes care of any burn....good luck!

I'd also suggest trying different razors, I had trouble with cuts before but I've found my chosen razor and have no issues
