Finally did the deed (why did I wait so long?)

Well, after growing my hair for over a year after retiring from the Marine Corps, I finally had to take it back down to the skin. Believe it or not, it was still a dilemma on whether to do it or not. I mean, I couldn't stand dealing with the hair but for the first time in my adult life I could finally HAVE hair so why shave it? Bottom line, I didn't feel like "me" with all that hair. As my barber was peeling it down, I could finally see "myself" emerge in the mirror from under all that hair. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever grow it out again...Here are the before and after pics

Sorry, the "before" didn't transfer. Just hope my little story convinces some of those still "on the fence" because it's so liberating to "slick and bic" it.

Looking great, Jarhead.
You have one of those heads that seems to have been made for the Sly look.
Congratulations on getting it back, sir.
(Are those pictures a "like father, like son" theme?)

Looks great, jarheadj! I think that a barbershop is a good place for some father-son quality time. Glad to see you back in slyville. Oh, BTW, congrats on the retirement and thank you for your service!

My wife says, You don't look the same.
I think it looks much better shaved. And great job for your son, getting a pretty tight haircut himself!
You both look good.

Thanks guys!! I was tired of the 70's "Saturday Night Fever" hair and my son was tired of his "emo" hair so we took care of the problem. Only a few months ago, I tried to get my son to get a trim and absolutely fought me on the idea so when he came to me and said he wanted to get a "High n Tight", I had to get him to the barber shop before he changed his mind

I guess that's that prompted me to decide to bic mine down too. Hair is just too much trouble.
