1st day at work
« on: July 15, 2013, 01:56:15 AM »
The title is not quite right as I did go to work with the beanie on while the hair follicle infection cleared up. Today was the first day where all was revealed.

Most of you know my story - alopecia with hair missing from random places (quite unlike male pattern baldness). I now have the hair buzzed to a 0 or something like that and off to work today for the first time.

None of the stuff on this site is worth much unless what is being preached is put into play, put to the test you might say.

All went REALLY well.

Again I say to all those who encouraged me to dump the hair program and go for it that I will never forget your words of wisdom. It does take a leap of faith - a jump where no one is holding your hand for that moment but if you are on the fence with this same (or similar) issue I advice you free yourself and do as I did.

Of course there was the odd double take at work and one or two who sounded like they were saying something because they had to but overall it was a great day.

THANK YOU SBG. You know your stuff

Congratulations!

Isn't it amazing how much stress we go through about taking it off, and the reaction most people really have to it is almost negligible?

I am sure you felt great relief.  Sure a bit comment but people feel obliged to say something - just so you know they noticed.  enjoy

I'm glad -- but not surprised -- that it worked out.

Feels great, doesn't it? Congratulations, and as the days go by, it will be natural for you and everyone else.

Woohoo!!! Enjoy the rest of your sly life!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Thank's Tyler and everyone else. I certainly did build up an image of the whole situation that proved to be completely false in the end. How the brain works! How we are programmed over the years to believe certain mind sets and ways of being, believing we need to conform. It's been a real education.

Now to living ..
