If you have a conehead it is probably more noticeable to you. Basically if you are talking about having hair restoration then I assume your hair is going. A conehead will then look bad if you try and disguise your hairloss by a long horseshoe, or a comb over. People make less comment on a fully shaved head, as they can see you've embraced the baldess and it's just another shaped head.
Don't go down the surgery or restoration route, take the grade of your hair down in stages to let you and others get used to it.
I'm a huge fan of WWE, I knew Ryback was bald but never did I notice a conehead. And to be honest never would I have told him he had one.....
