The Barber...
« on: July 05, 2013, 03:18:50 PM »
She was a little oriental woman. I went to go get a medium length cut. When she went to go to work and actually saw my head up close, her immediate reaction was "oh honey..." haha. She was the first person.

The second person was my best friend Charlie. He, like me, sported the black "emo hair". I showed him under my hat after i buzzed my head. He just laughed and said hey mom look, Chey is going bald! And we went on with our day, playing video games and 420ing it up, and it was as if I didn't even mention it. That was when I realized how superficial my hair concerns were, if somebody as fashion conscious as charlie didn't seem to think about it one bit. It felt really good.

The most recent person was my old manager. He saw my head and asked if I was dying. Lmao! But other than that and some cynical bald humor (which was well met, because I teased him about being gay), it truly DID NOT CHANGE his perspective of me. To those who matter, it just does not seem to matter. Its a really empowering feeling when the important people in your life are just kinda like uh okay? So you're bald, wanna drink a beer?

Of course some people laugh, and act like I'm some kind of weirdo, but the hilarious part is I don't even seem to notice them half the time. i dont know where im going with this. Im ranting. Q-Ball heads for the win!

I bow and applaud you excellent attitude, sir.

So many men run around in panic when they see their hair leaving them.  I sometimes think that we who start to lose ours in our teens (you beat me by three years) adjust to it more easily.

its all really strange how it played out to my favor. I was tired of worrying about my upkeep and the amount of trouble my friends and I went through to do our hair before we went out was ridiculous. By nature I'm very lethargic, and when I realized my answer was as simple as shaving my hair once every few days instead of worrying about styling it EVERY time I went out, it really clicked for me.

Great job. I still have.....would have... a full head of hair. I think the bald look is the way to be any ways. No offence, but the emo cut is a little childish (then again this is coming from someone that not less then 6 months ago had a Mohawk, and I am just shy of 25.) The bald looks great on you. And for your friends that give you the wise crack about cancer, just say yes, cough in your hand, then wipe it on the and say, better get checked.

Welcome to the club and keep up the great attitude.

Besides which, you look great with no hair.  It is a win-win for you, I think.
