Inserting a pic or video in post

Ok, I know this has been discussed before but I need some help.  Every now and then I've wanted to insert a pic or a video in my posts but I just can't figure it out.  I've tried to look for the tags on the pics and vids but must be doing it wrong.  Is there anyone out there who will explain this to me.  Yes, and you can call me computer illiterate if you like.

I would also like to hear the answer on this one.  I also tried to post a before in the before and after and kept getting a message the the file was too big and it was just a regular camera shot taken with the same camera as my avatar.  I usually don't consider myself computer illiterate.  But with this, I guess I am.

for pictures, i use photobucket. after uploading it gives the pic an img address thing. all you do is copy and paste the img onto the post. at least that is how i figured it out.

Thanks Paul.  I'll give it a shot.  What exactly do I do?  Go to photobucket.com or something like and it will guide me?
