• I just had to pass along an experience that I had today.  About twice a year, I get together with some guys that I worked with about 5 years ago.  One is still at the company we all worked at and the other has also since moved on.  Well, this is the first time that I had seen them since going SLY.  The last time was probably Jan - Feb.  I was somewhat nervous and when we were all emailing each other about setting up the time for lunch, I purposely mentioned that they might not recognize me because I had shave-off all of the thinning hair.  I thought I should prepare them and I didn't want any stunned reactions.  They both just blew-off my email comment and one even said "ya, I sure we've all changed a little". 
  
  At the end of our lunch, no one had really said anything, so I asked if I had shocked anyone with my new look.  The one friend said, no, this isn't the first time I've seen you like this.  It took me a little while convincing him that it was.  I explained that before, I just looked bald anyway, so that's why he probably didn't notice.  He was kinda appologetic for not noticing.  I told him to never mind.  That was one of the main reasons I did it.  Since I was looking bald anyway.
  
  The lesson in this experience (again) is IT REALLY IS NOT A BIG DEAL TO OTHER PEOPLE.  SO DON'T STRESS OVER IT!!!!

• I agree.  Most of us that buzzed for sometime, really agonized for nothing.  Unless it is a drastic change, most people don't notice.

• Totally agree man.  As far as the people that do make a deal over it, they usually get over it pretty quickly and end up liking it anyway.

• SLYinKC.....man.... u hit the nail on the head.  i totally agree.  that's why immediately after my dome was completely shaved.... i said... "damn.... i shoulda did this a long time, ago'" and now  i feel "REBORN" AND just luving sly the life.

• Great posts everyone.  I am one of those people who now realizes it's no big deal.  It's my choice.  I am my own man.  I just wish I would have figured that out earlier and had a set of stones to announce that decison earlier.

• yea.... went fishing w/ an old childhood friend who was visiting from houston last week.  i haven't seen him in about almost a year and of course he hasn't seen my smooth dome.  anyways.... we spent the whole day fishing and catching up and he didn't say anything until the end of the day.  he said that i was rocking the look and that i pulled it off well.  oh well.... go figure...... i agree w/ ya slyinkc......IT'S NO BIG DEAL....
