styling a goatee

(1/8) > >>

mancho:
I suspect a lot of you guys have some form of goatee, so maybe you'll have some advice. I'm experimenting with growing out my goatee about an inch or two (if I had a camera I'd post a pic) . I'd prefer not to use anything and at this length I could pretty much get away with it, but sometimes it's a bit unwieldy. What would you suggest to lightly hold it in place? Wax? Gel? Other?

Sgt. Pate:
Welcome mancho!

I dunno... I wouldn't like anything on my goat like spray or gel or anything.

I just use my clippers with attachment to keep it just short enough that it doesn't really need combing cuz it'll go every way but where I want it if I don't!   :o

Tyler:
If you're using some lotion on your dome, run a bit through your beard and comb it or using your hand to style it.

danyroo:
The only thing I use is just for men color.. Yea it's all white and don't look good. so I apply once every 2,3 weeks..

xnewyawka:
I have to agree with the Sgt.

I have had a goatee for some time now,(much more gray than black now) and have never used anything to keep it "styled".

Usually trim it down myself or when I go to barber I have them do it after my buzzdown.
If you have a regular pocket comb, you can just comb it down after you shower and shave.

Keep us posted, and post a pic of goat when you grow it out.
Good luck,

NY
