Don't fear the self shave...my suggestion though, give the razor YOU'RE most comfortable with a go, especially the first few times, most around here us headblade, but it sounds too tricky for me, i use the mach3 and am totally slick and happy with the results...

I was clipper shaved in that avatar Stew; however, this past week I have been lather and razor shaving about every other day; no regrets.
