but i dont get a smooth shave with it and i really aggravate my skin.... can i then re shave with the regular razor on it if i dont get a good shave?

The first few weeks are an adjustment/learning period. Just get comfortable with what works for you. We all have different hair types, so there's not really a one size fits all approach to shaving. After about a month of head shaving you can start to branch out and experiment with different techniques.

What is freaking me out is reading this post about Straight Razor shaving. I'm happy right now to just snuggle up with ATX and read about it but not at bedtime or we might have nightmares
