Virtual head shave
« on: March 31, 2013, 11:02:01 AM »
Pardon me if this has been posted before, but I thought it might be of some help with those who are debating going SLY.
This is a link to a website where you send them a photo of yourself and they remove the hair so you can view what you'll look like sans-hair.

It's simply outrageous that people want to be compensated for their work!

You know me so well.  8)

Seriously, as someone who seems to be continually expected to provide services for free, it's a bit of a hot button for me.

I think I need to have some T-shirts printed up:  ;)

  • "No, I can't fix your computer for free"
  • "No, I can't just 'whip you up' a website for free."
  • "No, I can't spend hours Photoshopping your bad photo for free."
  • "No, I can't design your logo for free."

I quite agree The Sly Bear.  As a travel writer I am constantly assailed with 'you love travelling so I'll take your story for free."  Or "we are a new site and using your story for free will be good for your profile'"  Doesn't help pay the bills.

I gather the same line is given ot musicians.
