What's your hat of choice?

Hats are a good thing to have lying around for a bald guy. When it's summer hats are good to block the sun and when it's winter they are good to keep the ol' bald head warm. What's your hat of choice for each season?
I have to be honest, I love showing off my bald head and try to avoid wearing hats. But when the time is right I'm usually throwing on a baseball cap. I like caps with the "flex fit" elastic band for sizing. I've found that this type of fitting hat is more comfortable to wear. If I'm heading to the snow or to Montana for my annual hunting trip, then I'll usually have a skull cap or beanie (short stocking cap) in my back pocket. Or, if it's a warmer day for skiing I will usually wrap a bandana over my head in the form of a do rag. I like using the

" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> for warmer days also. These are made of lighter material that wicks the sweat away and keeps your head cool.

If it didn't say "UnderArmor" all over it, I would get one in a heart beat. I love my underarmor T's to wear under my riding gear.
I had a beanie I got from
http://www.ems.com/
that I loved, but I lost it. And can't find it on their site. Most beanies like to grab my velcro at the end of the day, and are unconfortable to wear for me. Mostly I just slap on a ball cap if I need a hat, or I have a couple of old fedora's I like.

I usually don't wear hats. It's funny, my mother would come back from trips and bring home a hat for me.
I must have at least a dozen by now lying arround somewhere. It's the same thing with sunglasses and wallets.
She would buy me those and I wouldn't wear them - real Greeks don't wear wallets anyway.
They carry their money loosely in their pockets. Plus, the change produces a nice jingle...
And if you ever lose money that way (because you were stupid enough not to keep it in a wallet), you just
take it as a man and brush it off with a
"ah, never mind.."
. That's how us Greeks handle it.
Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes, hats. Well, I usually don't wear hats, but being bald now,
and having already experienced a winter with my bald pate, I started wearing wooly hats when it's cold outside, like this one here:
And earlier today I took a risk by ordering this hat (flatcap)...
I'm going to check it out and then decide if I'm going to be wearing it on a more regular basis.
What do you think?

Believe it or not, the Survivor buffs are great for summer!
They don't look the coolest but you can actually
get non-survivor buffs on the internet
and at certain sport stores. They work awsome for water sports and biking. Also when it gets windy, it won't blow off.
They also are great to
wear under winter hats
to keep you head from itching against wool or other fabrics. I use them under my ski hat.

Here is the link to the non-Survivor buffs.

Of course nothing beats a classic derby:
That's my hat of choice for going out and meeting lay-days on a chilly night.

I looked at those "buff's" at REI a couple weeks ago, interesting, but didn't feel they were worth what they were asking.
Noner, that is a cool hat, looks more like a fedora then a derby though. Cool car too.

It's gotta be really, really cold for me to put a hat on... Us Chicagoans tough out the cold!!
I do wear a floppy hat in the summer when going on a long drive in the Jeep with the top down though! Other than that, it's just some SPF30 sunscreen...

I live in Cleveland, and it gets ridiculously cold by the lake. In the winter, I normally go without a hat, but on the bad days, I've got a few beanies I wear. I have a few ballcaps, too. Mostly, I go with the bald head, though.

Thanks everybody!
Since everyone was commenting about my hat, I found it believe it or not, in Macy's. I was walking through and they had this little rack of hats and that one was the diamond in the rough.
Yes it is a derby because the lid is small and less oval. A fedora has a very wide brim all the way around and a higher top usually twisted in more.
But if you want a really great hat you have to get one of these!

I normally never wear hats, but I must admit I have a huge collection of skull caps (various tyoes from knitted, Independent, Undergear's Wool skull cat rocks, WCC, etc. I am actually trying to find a great looking vintage "caddy hat" so if you don't like that new hat (flatcap) brother Harry... Lemme know, I want it! hehe Â

My headwear of choice is a Darth Vader helmet, but people keep telling me I look silly in it. Personally, I don't think any of them know a thing about taking fashion risks.
