What kind of beard suits my head?
« on: March 22, 2013, 04:06:02 AM »
What kind of beard suits my head?

I am 25 years old. I wear almost a year as head shaved. Because I have a voluminous face has not quite what I could have my beard.

I am grateful for any advice. Best with images as examples.

Thanks.

Benni,

I think you would look good with either a full beard or a circle beard (goatee w/ mustache).  A full beard tends to make a face look a little wider, while a goatee tends to slim it up and make it look longer...
-my opinion.

PS....why are you covering your eyes in your photos?  From what I  see, you have nothing  to be ashamed of in wearing your bald head with pride.  As for facial hair, I  think as stated before that a full beard and and goatee would work!

Slymyke's got it. You look good bald already, so these facial hair choices (either a circle beard or full beard) are going to enhance what you've got.

Welcome, Benni! I think the full beard would fit your face perfectly.

I think you look good w/o any facial hair -but I would go w/either a mustache/goatee or either one, alone..a full-beard is too much.

Benni, You would look good with a full beard or a Van Dyke.

Slymeke, Your sly dome and beard look great. I really like your new picture.

I agree with slymyke, different beard types will change the look of the length of your face. I think you'll need to experiment for yourself and see what you like the most.

Full beard, "Piccadilly weepers," circle beard, goatee, Hitlerian toothbrush...  What YOU like is what matters.  When does a vote on one's appearance dictate how you look?

Ming, for example, wears nothing below the waist, and--so far--no comments.  Any comments would lead to a rather extreme response.  Don't ask.

I'm inclined to agree with Pshrynk and Ming. It is completely up to you what you want to grow. I'd say start off with a full beard, and if that doesn't work for you trim it down until you find something you like, it's really that simple!

Give yourself about a month with the full beard beard you start to trim it down though, so you can get some good coverage for the other styles, provided you aren't sold on the full beard, that is  O0

Thanks, baldjoeg!

Benni,  I agree with the guys saying to start with the full beard, then cut down from there if you want to try a few other tings.  If you decide that the full beard was your favorite, then trim the existing facial hair down while you grow the rest of the full beard back.  (unless by then you have an epic goatee.. .you would just want to do what Beardman did and let it catch up in it's own time...lol).

Haha, it was already pretty epic before I made the switch to a full beard, I've been growing my cheeks out for officially 5 months and 1 day now, and I think the sideburns are finally starting to sit down on their own accord.

But Myke speaks words of wisdom, that is exactly what I have done with my beard, except I haven't trimmed it at all since March last year. I'm lucky enough to have a job where as long as my beard doesn't become an OH&S issue then I can just let it grow. Every now and then my boss asks me how long I'm going to keep growing it for, and I always reply "I don't know, as long as it wants to grow I guess" lol

As I said before, at the end of the day, it all comes down to what YOU think looks good, because YOU are the one that has to deal with it 24/7 not anyone else, as long as you are happy, then that's all that matters really. Sometimes the better half may have something to say about that though... lucky I don't have that problem lol or else I'm sure it'd be chopped by now...
