Hi there!
After reading anonymously for a while I finally decided to join this site. I found some wonderful people with even more wonderful tales here. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
I trimmed my hair to a zero this new year and have a mixed feeling about it. Some people liked it and some didn't (specially my parents). So I ask you folks to tell what you think about the before and after look. Should I continue? Should I grow a goatee or something?
Thank you.

In your before photo, I do see a small amount of hair thinning. But if you wanted to keep the hair, it does not look bad yet. However, you do have a good head shape for the Sly look. So it is up to you. But if you grow it back and you loose more hair, you at least know how you will look if you shaved it again. But I would say to try the 30 Day Rule.

Welcome AG!
My opinion.... your hair has receded far enough that you should definetly consider keeping your hair buzzed or shaved.
Remember.... this is about what makes you happy, not what makes others happy.

Your after photo is just great, but maybe try the beard again it would be a nice look.
Go with whatever makes you feel good.

Welcome, Anvesh! I think you wear the sly look well, and a little facial hair can't hurt....But it is up to you which style you want to keep. Good luck, and thanks for coming out of lurker status and joining!

Already graduated from the 30 day test, Continuing with the sly look. I feel it looks better this way. Thanks for your support.

All clean look is more confidence building than the previous partially covered one. Good to be among brothers.

will experiment with some beard styles. Thanks.

Thanks. Feeling good now after joining. Now the next step for me is to proceed from buzz hair to the "great magnificent shaven dome".

I think the totally shaved look looks best, try it with a beard, you have a really good head shape so marshd said if you decide to grow it back you know that you have nothing to worry if your hair is thinning more
and i think your parents would be an exception if they liked it - but I'm sure they'll get used to it, my mother did as well, last time she saw me she said she already likes it and she was one of the most stubborn critics

Thanks MarkusToe. The reason for not going totally bald earlier was mostly because of my parents. My mother feels as if it is her fault that I am balding this young. But you need to take some tough decisions sooner or later. She is now slowly starting to accept me as I am now. Its difficult still for my dad as he still has his crop full even at 59.
Glad to know that your mother likes it. Thanks for the support.

Welcome to the club, Anvesh. The sly look suits you. A goatee would look good as well.

welcome, you look really good with a buzz...as per the advice already given, if you go fully sly, give it 30 days...and yeah, a goatee will look great on you....most people get some negative comments from their parents or siblings...i think they thin it's their job to be negative when you do something like that lol...but it's what you think that is really important....they will come around...pretty soon, they won't even think to mention it..

Wow, what a dramatic change IMO! Love the sly look on you, dude!! You look so much more confident, professional, capable in the second picture. The first one isn't bad but the second is "WOW!!!"
Its a keeper, man. :-) glad you will try rocking a goat.
Cheers!

Sly look is a BIG confidence booster, thanks. I'll try rocking the goatee, I'll let the goat go. I'm not into goats.

I too like the shine on your head. you are seriously gutsy.

You definitely look good sly. With or without a beard it suits your face and head shape perfectly so I say just go with what you want. It's your head after all!
