St. Patricks Day
« on: March 16, 2013, 01:57:22 PM »
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all.

I be the corned beef, cabbage and potatoes are in the pot for dinner.

Asked my daughter to make me a shamrock bow tie for this week. Maybe it will show up.

I was in Gettysburg, Pa. around noon and saw a couple of guys in kilts headed into the Irish Pub.

You all do realize that most people in Ireland don't even know what corned beef is?   ;D

That's fine with me. I enjoy eating it just the same and thinking that it's Irish tradition.

Have yet to find a soda bread recipe that I really like.  I've tried quite a few over the years.  But at the moment, the family is trying to eat gluten free, so I'll have to pass on the soda bread this year.

Sunday, the day got away from us. Just too much to do, so the Corned Beef will wait for tonight.  We did have some green cookies at the dance performance, and some green wine and ginger ale.  Green salad in a restaurant which has recently renovated into green colors.  (Souper Salad).
