Love those owls , great pictures J_B
Nice work! I wish my photos looked that good!
Thank you Stitchy and CraftyGuy, I got the Sigma 170-500mm f/5-6.3 APO DG
Geeman actually the camera body I use is the Canon 30D with its 8.2 megapixel
Looking at your photo's Geeman, they are beautiful. Nice sharp photo's, and the B & W really adds to the workflow.
What kind of flash are you using? Bounce or the onboard of the camera?
looks good, very sharp...what body do you use?...something expensive i bet?... i have just got into dslr photography, bought an entry level canon 1100d, with a Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III Lens, a 50mm 1.8 prime and the stock 18-55is lens, I mainly take photo's of bands...I would welcome a critical view... http://www.flickr.com/photos/77572593@N08/7102185293/in/set-72157629509436786/

thanks jb, your photo's just go to show what a good lens can do. Most of my photo's are without flash, as bands/venues don't normally allow it, some of the studio shots used flash, and I bounced of the ceiling, using my secondhand canon flash, I'm new to flash, but thats the beauty of digital, it costs nothing to practice. The 50mm prime is great for low light/indoor shots, and at around £80 it's a bargain
Yes , but would say that the person or artist behind the camera is the one that can take the shot and at the right time to enjoy the photo that comes out !
I call good Photo's the same as a great painting ! Maybe wrong but at this point in my life do I care
NO is the answer .
I did in no way mean that he lens is entirely responsible for your amazing shots...if that is how it was read, then I hope my previous sentence has addressed it. What I mean is, I first though that you must have a very expensive 5000mp body! and when you said you have a 30D with 8.2mp! I was astonished at the quality, not the composition, the latter is indeed the "artist" is responsible for.
