NBA Finals
« on: June 08, 2007, 03:00:35 AM »
Sorry Cleveland fans, I think Spurs will win it in 5 games.  Although I think Lebron will lead the Cavs to at least 1 title, I think this year the Spurs will take it - they had much tougher competition (with the exception of the Cavs-Pistons series).  Just my opinion.

not a spurs fan.... but i have 2 agree w/ u kysly.  overall the spurs r beasts.  they r like the ne patriots of the nba.  they r not flashy or entertaining but the just know how 2 win.  they have 2 many weapons and team players:  timmy, mr. longoria aka tony parker, ginobilli, m. finley, and ofcourse big shot rob.  it might go 6 games but it may likely b a sweep or in 5.

anyways.... lebron will lead cleveland 2 a championship not this year.  however.... game 5 vs detroit wuz like watching the 2nd coming of air jordan.  u gotta luv lebron....

The Cav's are without a doubt the best team in the NBA East. The west has at least 4 teams that could probably beat them for the title. But Cleveland has been down 2-0 before, most recently with the Pistons before they came back and won four straight.

I'll say first that i loathe the Spurs.  I HATE them.  They are dirty and cheap, i have no respect for them at all.  We all know the suns should be in the finals.  They are way better than the cavs though and will walk away with this series.  The west is just too dominant.  The mavs, spurs and suns could beat any eastern teams 4-1 or 4-0.  The rest of the western teams could still probably beat any eastern teams but those series would be closer.

The way i see it is just making the finals is a success for king james.  His supporting cast is a joke and he has a marginal coach.  I think billups is a free agent, he could help them out a LOT.  :)

I agree with you LS the Suns should be in the Finals.(Thanks a lot David Stern). I thought the Cavs would give them a better fight but it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

If the Cavs don't win it, and I want them to, they will be very attractive to those free agents that could assist in supporting James in getting back to the championship and winning it.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

I love all the guys on the Cav's team this year, but LeBron needs better support. There have been better Cav's teams in the past, but they were during the Michael Jordan era and couldn't get past the Bulls then. The Bulls struggled with MJ for a few years till they built the team around him.

But on the plus side of the Cav's, both G.M Danny Ferry and coach Mike Brown are Sly Bald Guys! O0

It really didn't matter whatever sacrifical lamb the L-Eastern Conference served up. The Spurs were going to open up a can of whopp-a$$.

For the record, two years ago today, San Antonio was celebrating their 3rd NBA title in six years.

Two years ago today, the Cav's were without a coach (just fired their 6th coach in 7 years) without a general manager, and had an impulsive rookie owner. And no direction. Just to make the Finals this year was a miracle.
