Ok,
So....I've been shaving my head at #3 or #4...for 20 years. By choice. I just liked the look.
I recently went down to a #2. Then a #1.
I went 0 today! I'm a little anxious about work tomorrow but I'm pretty sure no one will notice....or care. A couple friends have seen it and they all have said I look the same.
Definitely not ready to bic it yet, though. Mostly because I need to get some sun on it and I need to sort out some blemishes/get some scalp care products.

Oh, and here's a 'before'....with a really creepy mustache?? Hahaha. It's the pic.
Anyway, the hairline is patchy...and just....bleh:

No problem. The after pic is a lot better though. I think the before pic is a bit creepy though

Will my scalp skin darken even in winter if its exposed like this?
I also need to sort out some blemishes and a mole here and there.
My worry is that (ironically) there will be little bald spots where I get the moles removed. Would that look odd if I decided to stay at a 0 for a while before I take a deep breath and bic it?
Any suggestions?
Maybe I'll go get a fake tan, hahaha

G'Day Stifferd,
Welcome to the Nude Nut House

The Sly look definitely suits you. Once you get a little sun on your scone it will all blend.
Truthfully the only person who will really notice the removal of the moles will be you.
Your mates won't probably notice and strangers well they don't know if you had them or not.
So enjoy your new Sly look, it's a keeper.

Thanks, Oz! Yeah, I need to be mindful that I am noticing a whole heck of a lot more than anyone else ever will. If I stare in the mirror I start thinking too much, but if I walk by a mirror and have a quick glance I think it looks awesome.
Just need to realize that the "quick glance" is what other people will see. They won't be inspecting it like me.
It's literally only been a few hours, so it's still new.
This place is awesome

As short as it was, it's not a huge change ... so you'll probably get some slight acknowledgement but nothing too dramatic.
Even in winter a little sun will help develop color, I think.
I sense you're going to have a good time with this new image.
Oh ... and, welcome.

Looks good, Stifferd!
What is cool is the first time you see yourself in a candid picture taken when you didn't even know it. If you are like me, when this happened before, you would see your picture and hate it.. because you would see your balding or receding hairline from the perspective of how others could see you...(not your limited point of view from your bathroom mirror). You won't mind those "surprise" pics anymore, because you will like the way you look.

Thanks, FG. Yeah, I keep telling myself that I've been unknowingly preparing for this all my life. Never had long hair. Ever.
So I think it's just skin tone/irritation right now but I'll sort that out.
Tomorrow will be a little anxiety ridden but I think it'll be fairly low key.
Regardless, I ain't going back. So, this is it

This is true, myke. Looking forward to it.
After months of considering hair transplants, etc this has been so liberating. I won't ever go back. I feel like I have nothing to worry about now. It's a peaceful feeling.
Now I just need to get used to it. Shouldn't take too long.
