steady hand
« on: February 04, 2013, 10:52:05 AM »
The other day in the kitchen while preparing my food I noticed that I seem to have a steadier hand. Maybe it's just that I'm getting used to ingredients without making a mess but the thought crossed my mind that maybe it's because of using a safety razor.
Anybody else notice anything like this?

I'd never make it as a surgeon. But while adding cocoa powder to my smoothie I noticed that I didn't spill any in the process.

Shaving my head with a safety razor (even a beginner's Edwin Jagger DE89) is a complex skill requiring concentration and the right touch.  Those who approach the task in a desultory way find that there is always blood. As Charlie Chan said, "Experience is good school. But fees high."

I guess a certain confidence at the task and the pride it brings carries over to other manual tasks.
