I am going to give that a try.  No lie on pricey !  Wonder if that works on Headblade blades ?

Hmm....

Interesting. I could kind of see this work. Like stropping the strait razor.

There's a bloke on youtube who does the same thing but then dips the cartridge in alcohol then air dries. He mentions that he gets 5 to 6 months of use for a HeadBlade cartridge.

I reckon it seems like a terrific idea -- why throw this stuff away in landfill when you can use it for ages longer and save lots of money too?

I'm now on day 21 of my headblade cartridge. After use I strop if twice on the inside of my arm [mostly to clean and dry it a bit] then dip it in metho to air dry. I haven't noticed any difference from day 1. When I start noticing a difference then I will get the jeans out and start stropping.

I tried this once before and didn't have much luck with it. Perhaps I'll give it another go some day.

What's missing from this is pre shave stropping.

Any straight shaver will tell you stropping before use gives a smoother edge than stropping after for the next days shave.
