I have thick hair and not balding but want to be bald but afraid others will disapprove and afraid of comments. I have oily hair greasy and looks like i never wash it and I have dandruff and feel to be bald that will help. Mostly i like the look of it and feel of it and the dandruff and greasy hair is not main reason i want to be bald but i wouln't have to worry about them.

You should never feel ashamed if you feel like being sly will help you then go ahead and shave it all off. At this point I am bald by choice and I love it and I know in the future I will be balding like all the men in my family. It is your choice don't worry about what others will think if you like and your happy then go ahead and do it. I don't even worry about out others think which I know if I listened to all the people then I will find someone who has a negative comment but I don't care because I love this look and its the best. I'm still in high school and kids can be harsh but I don't care what they say. Do what will make you happy and if you need help let us know and we will help.

Absolutely no reason to be ashamed of shaving your head ... by choice.
Your head, your life, your decision.
As you noted, shaving it will make it much easier to deal with dandruff and the greasy appearance (though you'll likely still have oil skin ... I do).

I have a full head of black hair but look at me now. It is really up to you how you will feel about shaving your head but since you already have entertained the thought of shaving bald, the best option is to give it a try.

I think "ashamed" is a very strong word. When I was younger I used to have a skinhead even tho I had a full head of hair. It was my hair, my choice. I am sure there are people out there that have MPB that would love a full head of hair and they would probably be slightly jealous but that's no need for you to be "ashamed".
Now years later my hair is not as thick as I would want it to be so I shave it off. So just be aware later in life you might want hair and not be able to have it!

I have always loved having little or no hair. It was me - had the confidence to be me

Shave it.
That's all I can say.
With the dandruff problem, that will help, because it helped me when I had severe dandruff.

Yup!!
Ashamed?

Odd comment.
Personally, I think greasy hair is something I'd be more concerned of.

Ashamed? Really? Of a haircut choice?
Of course not.
Be ashamed if you do horrible things to people or helpless animals. But of a haircut?

Having severe dandruff was my secondary reason for going sly (first was the fact that I wanted to.)
No hair = no dandruff = no problem.

Should you be ashamed? NO!
I get what you mean, though. Being a slyette with a full head of hair I am sometimes very conscious that I might be hurting the feelings of those who had mother nature force their hand. Based on feedback from this forum that feeling is batty, and I am trying to let go of it.
But don't be ashamed! It's just a haircut! (And a really good one might I add)

Oily, greasy, that would be enough for me.

I have had a oily head and when I had hair I would sweat and it looked like crap. I would never , ever , go back to having hair. YUK ! Post a pic. and answer to question NO !
