This is my first posting on sly bald guys so I would appreciate any feedback from you guys. I have been shaving my head for about 7 months now, and I was wondering how I should be cleaning my head in the shower. As of now I clean it with Shampoo and actual bar soap and it seems to clean it rather well. I'm just wondering if this is the right way I should be cleaning my head. Thank you.

Welcome to SBG B&P!
I just use soap. Once a week, I use an exfoliating scrub.

I just use a good face wash but if soap works for you that's good. Don't see the point in using shampoo as well though. Like TheSlyBear an exfoliating scrub once a week is good -- or one of those exfoliating sponges.
I don't use any moisturiser on the scalp -- it's oily enough already.
Oh yeah, and it's good to have you here -- keep posting.

Hey BandP. Welcome to the forum. I just use plain old shower gel and Head Shed to exfoliate every other day. Every other day may not be necessary, but in my case if I don't scrub out the dirt and oil regularly my head breaks out and that's just annoying.

I don't use soap or shampoo of any sort on my head but I do use I facial wash instead and it gets the job done.
Welcome to SBG.

Welcome Mate,
I'm with the other guys, soap and water!
I use an antibacterial soap on the face and head, I find it helps with pimples and the like!

Welcome friend! I prefer to use(when i take my showers)clean and clear. Then I soak my head with medium-warm water. Then I put moisturizing bodywash on my head, yes i did say bodywash. Then wait a while then soak your head with warm-hot water for a while, then when your pores are all opened up, get out there and shave.

Welcome aboard! This is something that might work for one person but not the next. The downside of using bar soap in my opinion is that it may cause your scalp to dry out. For a beginner head shaver, I would use Noxzema or Sea Breeze to start out and you can get into the various exfoliating methods as you go along. Good luck!

I use a liquid soap, just the same that I use for my face.
Shampoo - what is that?
