A little website I created
« on: January 08, 2013, 02:38:03 PM »
My brother-in-law is a plumber/contractor in the Santa Barbara area and hasn't had a website to represent his business.  Being that I had a little time while visiting him and my sister this weekend I decided to knock out a website for him.  Here it is - http://www.goletaplumber.net/

What do you think?

Any of you have websites or build websites?

Good job bro. It's nice and clean. Fairly snappy, except google analytics seems to be slowing it down a touch. I'm not a huge fan of using Wordpress for that type of site, but that's because I'm a Linux Admin, specifically focused on the LAMP stack and have nightmares about Wordpress lol. Overall though, it works and looks good so..  O0

Nice job, Tyler. Looks clean and modern, which reflects well on the business.

Nothing sets alarm bells off for me louder than a business web site that looks like it was created in 1996.

Very nice.

I've been asked by the people that organize and run "Scotty's Ride" if I would like to take over their website, revamp it, and maintain it.
I jumped at the chance but I don't have a clue how to do any of that stuff. It will be a good learning experience.

When the time comes I'll be hitting you gents up for some help!!!

When the time comes, make sure you hit me up bro. I had no idea what Scotty's Ride was, but just took a look. Now I'm terrible at design. I don't have an artistic bone in my body. But, as far as the technical side of things, I'm sure I can be of some help, and I'd be more than willing to jump in.

Dude, you Rock! A bunch of the members here actually made donations to Scotty's Ride this past September. It's an amazing event and my wife and I are honored to be a part of it.
I thank you for your kind offer.......

Hey guys, thanks for the props!

Koz, when the time comes, let me know.  I have access to a bunch of website templates.

Thanks Tyler! The folks that run Scotty's Ride were here at my house for New Year's Eve. They'll be turning the reins over to me in the next couple of months. I'll be in touch!

Looks good to me from an aesthetics stand point.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

Good job, Tyler!  I bookmarked it. I hope you don't mind.  With 10 Grandkids, there is always a fear of Plumbing problems.  I seen there was a solution for getting an unclogged drain!  Might come in handy!
