Counting Crows
« on: June 03, 2007, 03:48:37 PM »
Was just wondering if there were any fellow fans on this board.  They arent well known at all in the UK, well not known at all it seems.  Are they big in the US?

They were pretty popular at one time several years back.  I love their music.  Adam Durtiz has a very interesting voice.

I liked a few of their songs too...

You gotta wonder what happens to bands that seem pretty popular and then just drop off the face of the earth  ???

Another band that I liked back in the day was Hootie and the Blowfish... and then one day... POOF... they were gone!

Dude, Hootie and the Blowfish rock.  They are still around too, just not as big as they once were.  They played here in SC just a few weeks ago.  All their albums have been great, they were just unlucky enough to sell 18 gazillion copies of the first one and the others didn't sell as well.  Somehow that made them a failure.

Hootie and the Blowfish are coming to Albuqueruqe soon. Don't remember when exactly though.

I like Hootie and the Crows both. Nice tunes

I was just reminded of the Bare Naked Ladies also.  They did the same thing.  Just dropped off the mass media scene.
