How do you guys bring in another wonderful Year ?
« on: December 29, 2012, 11:30:18 AM »
2 1/2 more days and 2013 .  I usually stay home and watch Ball drop in NY.  I used to go gambling get a room and etc. .  Then I realized I didn't have any luck.  So it is cheaper this way.  And the title of this is not right  :*))

Town will have a midnight celebration with fireworks - "downtown" is three blocks away. Planning to walk down with some friends around 11 for the show. Nothing crazy or which involves motorized transportation.

Fireworks are being sold around the area.  But most places it is illeagal because of the drought to set them off  ;D ???  But that sounds good FG.  Nice to have a area so close. O0

HAPPY NEW YEARS TO SBG !
On New Years Eve, the checkbook gets balanced, cook dinner, then relax in tub with candles glimmering while sipping wine, then watch TV + pop open the bubbly.

I used to hold parties at home or go out ... but now I consider myself as "mature" and too old for that ... LOL

My brain checks out at about 9pm, new years eve or not.

I'll sleep in the new year. Might drop in on a party if it starts early, but i'll leave by 9.

What a party pooper. But i'll be up at 6 in the morning, best part of the day.

Will be a quiet one this year, stay home with the wife and maybe open a bottle of bubbles and reflect what a crazy/trying/joyous/sad/triumphant year it's been!

Too busy with prospective ruthless plans to spend time in useless merriment.

Oh, I might watch a few end-of-year floggings, but nothing more than that.

Few drinks at home. I resent overpriced door charges to everywhere and queueing at the bar for a drink! NYE is a nightmare!

Im more of a Christmas than a New Year Kind of guy. So this year it will be a quiet one at home with some nice food, though we might go to an early evening screening of "Life of PI"

I have some "Sky Lanterns" that I would like to release at midnight, say goodbye to the old etc, that is if I can stay awake!

A dinner with my "wine-guy" friends, their wives, sig-others, with lots of really nice wines & of course a selection of the sparkling variety.  We all contribute a dish for the buffet, generally over the top foods with truffles, etc.
