I just thought I'd say hi and thanks after lurking quite a while. This is a fine and supportive community, and definitely has made things just a bit easier for me. The common story: living far too long in denial about my hairloss (we're talking about several years here) and letting the balding affect my life too much. I started shaving about a year ago and like it quite a lot. I'm slowly building confidence but can't say I'm totally ok with my new appearance just yet. But considering the fact that I've always had slight confidence issues for the first 35 years of my life, this is nothing particularly new. Here's a couple of pics with varying beard styles, any honest opinions?

Both styles look great but I am biased towards the full beard.  Wear the look with confidence.

Both make you look good. In the first you look a bit like a younger and better looking Walter White from Breaking Bad. I really can't say that one looks better than the other -- you are a lucky man having two "successful" styles to choose from. I guess that you can vary things as to how you feel at the time.

It's sort of strange to me how so many good looking blokes own up to confidence issues. I think that it must be that everyone has these at one time or another.

When you feel it is right would you be able to update your profile to indicate what country you're from please? I personally find it quite interesting to see how far the brotherhood of bald has spread.

Most importantly, enjoy the freedom from hair. I just love the way that I can feel those air currents on the places where I couldn't feel them before. And no combing or washing or ...

Welcome, sir.  You carry the smooth dome very well. I'm partial to beards myself.  I'll vote for #2. And i like the shine. Looks good. You have every reason to be proud of your shaved head. Show it off with confidence.
