hi you sly bald guys
« on: December 20, 2012, 04:25:04 AM »
hi,

my name is markus, i'm 26 years old and I think at the moment I'm having a norwood 3 or more - and now I try to get comfortable with the idea of getting bald. I always liked my hair better when short but most girls said they like my curly hair.

Me and my girlfriend of three years broke up a month ago and so far the good times are in the majority because I'm really working on my low self-esteem now, which I now realized I always wanted to have from my ex-girlfriends instead of working on it myself - so I would say I'm not too much in a bad mood about my hair loss. This forum has already helped a lot in finding like-minded people and telling about success-stories.

so I'm glad to be a part of this group now!

PS: I haven't found out yet how to upload a profile picture - when I try to load up one in the profile settings and then click save - there is no change, maybe someone could help me

Welcome Markus.

If you're spending time worrying about your hair loss then it's time to start thinking about doing something about it.

And if you're like most guys here, once you've taken control of the issue you'll feel a great improvement in your self-esteem.

I'm just sayin'

Welcome, Markus! Whether you go sly or not (I think you would look good sly), once the self esteem and confidence builds up, believe me, the right girl for you is sure to follow.

Hey there and welcome!

If your hair is bothering you, why not try cutting it shorter and seeing what you think? Looking at your profile picture I think you would suit a short buzz cut and then go from there.

Welcome Markus!

Once you'll try it out you'll see that head shaving has a very therapeutic effect, and also assures you of a good haircut.

Another G'day from me. Welcome to the family mate!

I think that taking to a razor to your head might be just what the doctor ordered. I know it helped me soo much. By the time I took the plunge I was already a norwood 5 or worse... and now I feel much better, and I'm not worrying about my hair any more!

So whether you decided to go full sly, buzzed or just leave it the way it is, feel free to kick back and join in the conversations, everyone is welcome here!

Gidday mate. I don't know why you have low self-esteem but I can say with certainty that it is not because of the way you look. You are one good looking dude man -- even with hair. And I appreciate your openness about it -- it shows real strength of character and a willingness to be vulnerable -- women love that.

On the other hand shaving it off for me and many others has been very liberating and probably would be for you too.

I tried the bald look 10yrs or more ago, and I had no reason to. Since then I've gone from buzzcut to bald. You look good the way you are, however I do notice you are receding -perhaps you can try a short buzzcut before you decide to go bald? You would look good bald, too. But it seems you must convince yourself of it.

since I am on this forum I feel more confident every day about going bald, maybe for the first time now I learn to accept myself as I am and I am thankful that my hair loss has pointed me in the right direction to deal with issues which have always been there - with or without hair. the onlynone who is having a hard time accepting me getting a buzz cut or going bald seems to be my mother, but from what I've read on this forum thats quite common  :D mybe there should be a thred just about mothers reactions where we could get a freudian psychologist telling us why that is  ;D
