Review: Cella Shave Soap
« on: December 09, 2012, 05:00:52 PM »
I recently purchased several new shave soaps. The purchase included a tub of "Cella" shave soap. I've used the Cella for the last three days and now have a nice sampling to review.

"Cella" comes in a small red tub that comes with a screw on lid. The tub fits very nicely into the palm of your hand.

I've used the "Cella" with my badger hair shave brush. It lathers very quickly and easily and the lather is very thick. The lather is slick and provides very nice cushion when shaving. Now about the scent.... ahhh the scent..... the scent is simply amazing. It is an almond scent that is mild but just so nice.

I've shaved my face all weekend with the Polisilver blade, my Edwin Jagger DE, and the Cella shave soap. I've had three of the best shaves I've ever had.... ever.

The "Cella" is amazing and at a cost of about $9 it is a very fair price for a great product. This one will be in my regular rotation from now on.

Yep I can vouch for that Cella is a great soap.

Where did you get it from Mike?

What else did you get?

I purchased here:

www.italianbarber.com

Don't let the fact that they are in Canada scare you away. The prices are very good and I had my package in a week.

I also purchased RazoRock Fresco, RazoRock Classic, and Proraso. I haven't used any of these three products yet but they all smell great and they all have good reviews.

The Razorock is ment to be pretty decent.

I've been using the RazoRock XXX. It is an OUTSTANDING product. Great scent, great lather, great shave.

I've heard that he entire line of RazoRock shave soaps is good so I'm looking forward to trying these.

Good stuff. I'll take that as another positive review!

Maybe I will convince the Mrs that I should have more shaving paraphernalia for Christmas?

Hi Mike:  Thanks for your review of the Cella.  I have heard nothing but positive reviews of the Cella.  Your review has definitely solidified it.  I concur that the vendor:  www.italianbarber.com is a great vendor to deal with.

It is great stuff Mike!  If you REALLY love it, you might want to consider buying the 1 kilo pack of it, which works out a lot cheaper I think!

Hmmmm,  think I'll be having a Cella shave myself tonight, it's been a while since I used it!

I recently purchased the Cella and for the past several days I have been using it in my rotation.  I love the clean, almond scent.  It whips a thick creamy lather.  Love it. O0

Just ordered some Cella so it's on the way! but still gotta get a shaving brush and mug?

What's this rotation business everyone is doing? is that for a reason? or just cause you've ended up with different products that you need to use up?
and the end of our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time

a basic cheap brush can be found at many salons/hair supply places/online stores. badger and boar brushes are quite common and beloved by their owners.

rotation is, as you said, to use up product but also for variety and enjoyment. I personally use whatever I feel like using and don't really have a specific rotation in product uaage
