Heart attack

Last Monday an ECG showed I had had a heart attack in the past months. Straight to hospital (we have a fantastic public hospital system in Australia) and a stent inserted in partially blocked artery. Now back home and recovering quickly although I've got take it easy for a month or so (can't drive for two weeks!!). The worst part was I couldn't shave for a few days and it was a relief to take the razor to my head and make it smooth again.

Good to hear that's you're on the mend.
I can relate to the few days of shaving skipped. Been down with flu this past week and did not feel like shaving. But got a complete head shave this morning before church. Ahhh!
Man, a lot of hair grows in just 7 days! I had to get the clippers out first, then shave!

I'm sorry to hear about this, but at least it sounds like it was a mild one. Take it easy and do everything the doctors tell you and I'm sure everything will be fine. My dad had a heart attack about 3 1/2 years ago. It was worse than what yours sounds like because there wasn't any doubt about what was going on. He got two stents and it took him a good while to get back to normal, but eventually he did. I'm sure you will, too. Take care.

Thanks everyone. I really do feel fine but have to be careful until the heart tells me it has recovered. I just hope it doesn't stop me travelling (no doubt the travel insurance companies will have me as a marked man). At least it hasn't affected my ability to shave my head!

I wouldn't worry about the traveling. It hasn't stopped my dad.
