I don't know what you guys I have used in the past for irritation but it has now become a problem for me when shaving my head and it was going so good for the first month. I'm still not going to back out of shaving my head I love it too much to stop. Also are their any guys out there who started to shave their head when they were still a teenager by chance? Y'all are all wonderful people and I know if anyone can help me it would you guys let me know if you have a solution to this problem. Also are their any bald guys that love to rub other bald guys head?

Use witchhazel after your shave (non-alcohol if possible) then follow-up with a light weight facial lotion. Another product I like is Origins Firefighter. Pricey, but worth it.

You may be applying too much pressure with the razor.

Don't push down on the razor. If it's dull, that'll be even worse, so don't apply pressure to compensate for the dullness. And if you think a rough patch needs going over but it's really starting to get irritated, stop. The awesome feeling of having a smooth scalp is cancelled out by the painful feeling of irritation, so there's not a point in trying at that point(for either feel or look--it'll be all red).
But yeah, it's pressure of the blade that's the problem, and possibly its age.

Are you shaving every day?
If yes, then try maybe once every two days and see if that's better and maybe after a little time you'll be ready for shaving daily.

Agree ! Maybe just every other day. And watch the pressure.

Thanks to all who have replied I think I have found the problem to it and think it is my razor because it is dull as can be and it has been harder to get the smoothness too hoping to get more razor cartridges where I can fix this problem.

Well, Crusher, now that you are no longer a rookie shaver, why don't you try an ice cube rub after you shave? It closes the pores and prevents irritation...I first accidentally shaved my head at 13 when I messed up giving myself a haircut on the cheap....As for the last question....I don't know...

Actually I have been doing the ice cube since the irritation started and it has helped a lot along with the cold weather outside it helps my head cool down a lot

You got some great advice from our fellow chrome domes. Here is my after shave routine:
cold water rinse
ice cube rub
pat dry with towel
refrigerated witch hazel or Osage Rub depending on mood
let air dry
The refrigerated witch hazel or Osage Rub will boost up your shave routine.
