So I had a thought today, and facial care is something that I need to start caring more about than I used to. I am currently losing weight....was 280 pounds, now down to 251(thanks to the Paleo diet), with a goal of 200. I know that as I lose weight and my face starts to shrink there will be some extra room in the skin and I would like to avoid looking more aged at 28 years old. Currently I put the HeadLube SPF 30 on the dome and some Neutrogena facial cream on the face. What other suggestions or ideas do you guys have?
I use Noxzema....and sometimes St Ives Apricot scrub (the latter twice a week at most, you don't want to use exfoliants too much as it may dry out your skin) Amazingly, since I've started drinking water more, my skin has broken out a lot LESS. Good Luck!
Start with a good shave SOAP or CREME. Better soaps and cremes have better ingredients.
An exfoliator two or three times a week won't hurt either. St. Ives is very good but if you're going to exfoliate more than once or twice a week it may be a bit too harsh. I'm currently using the new BeeBald products and I love their exfoliator. Not too much grit and it leaves your skin feeling very nice. Less grit=less abrasion.
There are a lot of nice quality post shave products and your current choice is good. Again, I like the BeeBald product but I also like the Nivea Extreme Post Shave balms.
I have been using an antibacterial soap on my fave with an exfoliated pad.
Follow that up with a quality moisturiser and sunscreen if your going in the sun.
Also apparently drinking plenty of water helps skin look youthful?
G'Day Mauler mate,
Well done on the weight loss mate

Nah mate, bugga the looking after your face, you want the windswept grizzly Adams look, that's the way to go!!
lol serious Mauler, as some of my sly mates have mentioned, keep your water levels up and use a good moisturiser....there are literally plenty of out there. You have to replace what nature takes out mate.
This forum is your friend.....also google

If your pic is recent it is clear that your face is not carrying much extra fat at all at the moment. It will easily adjust to the expected weight loss with no extra wrinkles. It can be a problem for the morbidly obese but clearly you are not that.
Try some witch hazel before using your moisturiser -- it's good stuff and cheap too.
I lost weight few years ago also and you won't regret it. Keep doing what you're doing as it's working and you will save an enormous amount on health care costs in the future as well as feeling so much better
every single day.
I am 62 and been out in the weather most of my life . For jobs, sports, riding my Harley etc.. I have abit of skin cancer on the bridge of my snoot. I try to keep things simple. I shave , shower, and use up&up 30% ultra sunscreen from Target . Smells good and price is right. Manly smell .
Aloe Vera Gel on both head & face (if you don't have breakouts).
