I'm normally a rather reserved person so sharing my story on a public forum like this was a bit nerve wracking but I felt I had to do it for those who might still be sitting on the fence and struggling with hair loss. The stories I have read on this forum helped give me strength when I was in some really dark places so I'm hoping by telling my story I can lift someone else's spirits and help save them from years of hair loss torment!

Thank you for sharing your story. This time a year ago I was planning my first head shave for Jan 21.

Actually did it on the 19th. I hope you enjoy your bald head as much as I enjoy mine. Off to the shower to shave my head again.

Thanks for sharing your story, antRox.  It is amazing how liberating that step is for all of us.  Confidence will continue to grow from now... and in a little while, people that knew you before will not be able to imagine you any other way.  We only know the Sly you.. .and I can't imagine you any other way.  You Rock the look for sure.

I notice the negative comments come mostly from people who only know me with hair or a hat so I think it's a bit of a shock for them to suddenly see me bald  Still don't see why some people gotta be nasty about it

I think frequently - but not always - the comments are due to enviousness that you've taken control of the situation (and they or their partner haven't). Envy reveals itself in many surprising ways.
