This past Friday I was heading down to the beach.  I stopped frequently for gas - everytime I saw it under $3 a gallon I topped off the tank.  At one of my stops, I asked the guy at the pump next to me about smoke conditions on down the highway (owing to the South GA fires).  He happened to have a shaved head.  Complimenting him on his dome, I asked what kind of razor he used (Bic).  Told him I was thinking of shaving mine (which looked pretty straggly since I did not get a cut prior to leaving).  He told me had been shaving for 5 or 6 years - and that I should do it.  He walked over to his trunk, opened it, and handed me a Bic.  An omen from God ?

Early the next morning I got up, went and found a barber shop and had it buzzed ALL off.  Went back to the condo, hopped in the shower and shaved it all off.  Also took his advice and used soap rather than shaving cream. 

Damn brothers ... talk about slick!!  Man I love it.  Got several comments / compliments on it at the beach.

Why the hell did I wait so long?

dang pruitt..i thought you was already sly? well i guess not huh... anyway big congrats to you man!  O0 its a great feeling to finally shave it! i think that guy was your sly bald angel lol


what beach did ya go to? i drove back to Va. on the 21st and went through smoke from lake city,fl.  well into south carolina.....i leave thursday to drive back to panama city beach permanently...i can't belive its still burning!!

That's great to hear Bill!  To be honest, I thought you already shaved...but now that I think of it, I can't remember when you've ever said that you did.

Kajun, fires still ragin down here, made it close to Pembroke GA the other day. Depending on the wind they can close parts of I-10 and hwy 84 and they closed parts of I-75 I heard south of Macon GA due to the smoke sometime this weekend. Its back open for now. Just don't be in a big hurry and expect some smell and possibly thick smoke on your way to Panama City. Amazingly we are hoping for a couple of tropical storms or a hurricane. I'm ready for a traditional hurricane party!!!!

I guess you had a lot of us fooled, pruitt.  I could never quite figure out why a sly guy would post a pic with a hat on, but I figured you were just a golf nut and liked the pic.  Now that you have done the deed, it's time to change the avatar, and soon!  Congrats!  Hey if they can have a show like 'Touched By An Angel,' maybe they can come up with a new show where a cool sly dude enlightens all those bad comb-over dudes across the country.
