  We recently got trains so that's good. I am a Cats fan, use to be a long time member, use to travel there regularly.

• Oh that's pretty cool, I'm not a Geelong fan in the slightest. I've actually gone off AFL a fair bit over the past few years, but I've never been into Aussie Rules anyway so that's not much of a shock for anyone that knows me. I still keep up enough to get involved at conversations at work, but that is easy enough, I just have to listen to triple M hahaha!
  
  I am a Port supporter at heart though, even though I don't actively follow any team anymore.
  
  I'm looking forward to getting into the cricket this year though with the big bash and the aussies looking like they might be remotely competitive this summer it should be good viewing

  We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Oz but wish we had the holiday though  Then again we do get a day off for a horse race (The Melbourne Cup). Enjoy your Thanksgiving Baldjoeg mate

  That reminds me of my old boss, he was a scottish guy, he'd only been in Australia for a couple fo years before I worked for him, and he was obsessed with the way we speak, hearing him trying to put on an Aussie accent with such a thick scottish accent was the funniest thing ever!
  
  You are right though, it's not just an Aussie thing.
