Intro
« on: November 05, 2012, 07:32:22 PM »
Hey there.. just wanted to introduce myself.  I have been shaving my head for about three years.  I was tired of my balding head, and wanted to embrace it.  Also, at that time, my sister was having issues with her scalp that lead her to want to shave her head....so I knew I wanted to do it in support of her.  She had her hair buzzed and was beautiful.  She grew it back after her scalp healed, but I have kept mine off ever since.  I wish I had done it sooner.  I was always afraid of what my head would look like, but found that I liked it... and loved the freedom.

Right now, I am starting to grow my full beard again... I change it up every once-in-a-while.  I will post a pic when it gets evened out...

Welcome. Great to have you among us.

This is a great site for information on shaving and lots of other topics. Plus, you can provide "real world" encouragement to guys who are approaching the fence but not ready to quite hurdle over it.

Hope you'll stick around and be a regular participant.

Welcome to the family! You certainly started doing it for a good cause, I'm glad that you stuck it out for the long haul.

I'm also starting to grow out a full beard again, as well. I shaved my full beard off a few years back after I slipped while shaving my neckline... was a sad day haha.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome.

As I said, I had decided to grow my full beard again.  This meant I needed to even out the other hair  on my face.  So this morning I trimmed down the rest of it.... It was a little bit of a shock because I think it was the longest I have ever let it grow.  (still less than 2 inches, but seemed like a lot).  Now it blends better with the other stubble on my face... it shouldn't be too long before it evens out.

I'm just growing my beard in with my goatee, I have thought about knocking it back to the same level, but it has taken me the better part of the year to got to this point haha

Beardman...  I would do the same thing if mine were grown out that far.  Good call, bro.

Welcome slymyke. Great choice in deciding to shave it all off. Nothing like taking control of the mpb issue, it's the only way to go.  O0
