Hey guys, I gave you a little background a couple months ago (see this thread http://www.slybaldguys.com/smf/index.php?topic=886.0)

Anyways, I think its finally the given time for me to first buzz it really short, get some color on my head, then go slick.  I made this post so I could show you the before pictures.  My hair dry, with nothing in it, then my hair after coming out of the shower, damp, and applying couvre cream, then pictures with it blow dryed, styled, and couvre + toppik added to my scalp/hair.  It was funny, my mom is like I don't like that (the really thin pic), and I"m like "thats me" LOL, shes like really??? hahaha    These pics are with my camera phone so I apologize for quality but you get the idea.  You can see the difference is pretty remarkable after applying the topical concealers, but its getting to the point where its just not worth it and I'm ready to face mother nature.  I greatly appreciate your opinions, thanks!

lol, I've shown 2 of my friends these pics (haven't seen them in a little while)... both can't believe how thin I am.  Then they can't believe the before and after of the products... its just hard cause I look decent once I put those in, even though it makes me paranoid in certain situations, and is faking mothernature.

After seeing your pictures, I agree that you have thinned to the point where you really do need to move on to the next step.  Whatever you're putting in your hair to make it look fuller does seem to be working, but for how much longer?  Like the guys who are wearing the hairpieces, you're probably constantly worrying about whether people notice or not.

With summer just around the corner, it's the perfect time to go sly.  Good luck!!

Dale, welcome back....sounds like you have made the decision, congratulations. As someone who has tried to fool mother nature with a concealer (rug) you eventually realize how it impacts your life. The worry of discovery becomes constant.  By dealing with it now, you can put those worries behind you.

Its funny cause I buzzed my hair three years ago, but it wasn't as thin as now... looking back though, my hair was still quite thin there.  This time though I know I'll see myself and want to go slick within a few weeks, and for good.

Well guys, the deed has been done!!!

I am already so happy to be honest.  This was so hard to finally just be on my way to letting it all go.  Especially when my Mom, Dad, grandparents told me I should wait a while until I get a job (just graduated), and my dad didn't think I could pull it off.   My grandparents were the biggest opposition when I told them a couple weeks ago.   My Mom loves it, "that looks so much better than before", she thinks I have a great head shape in comparison to my father, and she even said it will look better once I go sly.  My dad apologized and says that he likes it.

By the way, I stopped taking Propecia friday.  I was out, and didn't refill   

No more stress, easy hair care, etc.  I noticed Tyler hooked up that 20% headblade discount and will be ordering one of their packages for when I go sly in a couple weeks.  I want to thank everyone on here for telling me to just do it, its hard since I'm young and hair loss really sucks for a younger guy.  Your words of sly wisdom got me to jump over that hurdle and just not care.   

And here my friends, are the after 1/4" buzz pics...  Oh by the way, my name is Joe, dalecooper is just my favorite tv/movie character ever (from the 1990 series "Twin Peaks", best show ever if you haven't seen it).

It looks a LOT better.  And you definitely look a lot happier.  I think you're just about ready to give sly a try.   

Remember that you are now only 1/4" away from sly and it only takes a week to grow back.
