Warhawk,
I beg to differ with your choice for best pitcher. That honor clearly goes to Tim Lincecum.

Not shocked at all............if his location is off then his fastball gets hit.......hard. His location was definitely off,no excuses. Also think he has a little ''attitude'' going on. He does seem a bit cocky and maybe this pounding will do him good. Tigers just fell behind 2-0..............oh no,could it be a repeat of '06?

@ Hingatao: Congrats on your Giants winning. Like I said... the Giants are a scrappy group. They are a tough team. Man... they are really looking good. I still think the Tigers will win in 7 games but if they don't win Game #3 than it is over.
Also... I still think Jason Verlander is the best pitcher this year. There is no way Tim Lincecum is better at least not this year. Lincecum had a bad year:
10 wins 15 losses 5.18 ERA 190 K's 90 Walks.... Tim Lincecum
17 wins 8 losses 2.64 ERA 239 K's 60 Walks... Justin Verlander
@ B.Driscoll: Wow... I know you are upset with your Tigers. I still think they will be okay providing they win Game #3 and Game #4 in Detroit.

The Tigers are really digging themselves a hole and as far as Lincecum is concerned all I can say is, get a haircut.

Lincecum v Verlander..................Verlander is in his prime and Lincecum seems to be slowing down a bit,he doesn't throw as hard as he used to but I think is still an effective pitcher..................''The Freak'', has thrown a lot of innings on that small frame and arm.He certainly isn't your typical ''power pitcher'' as Verlander is. If Verlander pitches like he can......then the Tigers can get back in this otherwise lopsided series. Time will tell.

Okay....congrats to the Giants for holding serve. If Detroit can win their three at home, they only need to steal Game 6 or 7 back in S.F. Tom, do you want Lincecum to go sly?

Sunday is going to be a traffic nightmare in Detroit with a Lions game that afternoon and a Tigers game that night, no?

That wouldn't be a bad idea Harry.....8 mile road will have it's work cut out for it over the weekend.

All that traffic and people will certainly be a boon to the business owners, restaurants and bars. Lord knows those places need every bit of help. That part of Detroit actually is pretty cool [and it may be the only part]...........with the stadiums and night life that they bring. The Tigers MUST win game 3 or it will be over. Mistakes are killing the Tigers.................base running, not hitting with runners on etc etc!

Well...the Giants make it 3 games to the Tigers 0. I tip my hat to the SF Giants. Hingatao... I know you are happy. B.Driscoll...I know you are disappointed. It looks like it may be over.

I know it's close to Halloween...but I didn't expect to see a broom here....Both teams had a great year and have nothing to be ashamed of.

It does appear to be over,...............coming back from 3-0 is a tall order for a team that has stopped doing ANYTHING!!! It looks like Tiger bats have holes in them.

SF has superior pitching. They would have done the same thing to my Yankees.

I'm not trying to join my team here but remember, they came from behind and won three straight in the NLCS, so it's not impossible.
