Hey guys, a while back my friend told me about this new company that was offering infinite online storage for free. I got in on the beta program and I have to say that I'm way more impressed with Bitcasa than I am with Dropbox and other services like it. I also like the playlist feature which allows you to upload ALL of your music and then create a playlist to stream it down to your computer.
It's super easy to setup Bitcasa. You just download it and then let it know which folders on your computer that you want to sync with Bitcasa. This is great if you're using it on a work computer so that you can keep your important documents automatically backed up.
The MAIN reason that I'm using it is that over a year ago my daughter dropped our external hard drive off of our desk and ended up making the disk unreadable. This disk contained ALL of our pictures of her and our family over the last 5 years. With Bitcasa, I don't have to worry about that. I just upload them to Bitcasa and they are backed up if anything happens to my machines.
