Which of these two clippers would be the better for me?
« on: October 06, 2012, 04:15:37 PM »
i like my Chelsea-cut hairstyle be as close to bald as possible WITHOUT using a shaving razor....

this one i like because its got super sharp razors with tiny teeth which is good for african hair.....BUT when touching up after lets say a week or two...im frightened that it will be TOO sharp and may cut me (i read theres been complaints of that happening to people with it)

this one i also like; it has that both the regular clipper attachment AND the foil balder attachment...but i wonder if it really does clip down as far as it claims?

aaaak!!!! help me choose?  :-\ :-\ :-\

i just cant decide! (if i could afford both id get them but theres nooooo way i can  ;D *LOLS!*)

Wahl, are a standard...my daddy used them on me as a child. I had a Wahl beard trimmer for 10 years and used it to buzz down my head 3 times so it saw some tough duty...I recently replaced it with a rechargeable Andis. It is a good upgrade and made in the US. too.

I've heard lots of good things about wahl, although I've never personally used them.

You could always just flip a coin though if you can't decide :D

;D  O0 How very true and there is no other way, such as oily, buggy, greasy, I need not to go on.  Sly and smooth, feels good.

Wahl, sorry got carried away !  It happens now and then.

Really? Ive heard good things about the Phillips, and really bad things about the Wahl. I have a regular Wahl unit that I've used without the guard, and I've had problems in the past nicking myself with that, not even trying to get down to a 0. I don't think they're as high qualty as they used to be.

I've been using my Wahl clippers with and without guard for four yrs plus and no problems. I recently bought a small trimmer and didn't even look at any other brands.

Gee, I think I've had one by EVERY brand through the  years..to me, ALL are the same. But, a 3-bladed disposable razor is the best.

I would be inclined to choose the Wahl clippers. I discovered my hair thinning causes  were coming from a poor diet. You may want to make sure you are eating a balanced diet before shaving your hair off completely as there could be a chance the hair will return to proper growth.
