I have a 1.5" curved scar on the top of my head towards the front left. It's not raised or red and doesn't bother me. I think I got it when I was about 4 years old. If anyone asks, I just make up a story. It's not a big deal but I just don't want to tell the unexciting reason I got it so I make it exciting or funny.
You'll probably be self conscious about the scar at first but you shouldn't let it stop you. It just gives more character. And you'll find out that the older you get, the less you'll care about what other people are thinking.
