"Bald" movies
« on: September 30, 2012, 06:33:59 PM »
Yesterday I saw (once again) "THX 1138", the film by George Lucas (1971) featuring only sly/bald people.
I love watching it. Everytime.
Have you guys ever seen this particular movie or other "bald" movies like this one?

Never saw the movie. Read the book years ago though, and I liked it. Wouldn't mind seeing it on screen.

Oh yes it happens that to me too.
When you first enjoy the book, sometimes don't want to see it somewhat "distorted" by a movie, or, simply, the book stands by itself in your mind.
Books can be really powerful, mind stimulating.
I like the special edition od the dvd because it features two or three great documentaries.
One is about zoetrope, created by Francis Ford Coppola. Beautiful Docu.
And another talks about cutting hair and the reactions, the feels, and it actually shows the moments when the actors, men and women, have their hair shaved.
It's funny and a little bit weird. But funny, interesting, definitely.
This is a brief, funny link

Yeah I know that this is an old thread but I just wanted to thank you for recommending "THX 1138". I downloaded it and it's a good movie.

A dystopian future where everyone except a dwarf is shaven headed. Oh, and the main female has a very short buzz-cut.

Surprisingly good'movie for 1971 and all the bald women look good too.

Saw 7 monkeys also -- good movie don't hear much about it these days though --  'Army of the 7 monkeys' stencil if I remember correctly.
